Lethabo Lekhele is from Munsieville township near Krugersdorp. In 2020 she sent an email to Foundation partner entity Cyril Ramaphosa Education Trust (CRET) for study support.

“Today I am working as a Ground Hostess,” Lethabo says. This is as a result of CRET’s partnership with the Academy of Aviation to put candidates through a five-month course for aviation and tourism careers.

“This experience has broadened my aviation horizon beyond my expectations,” Lethabo says. “I learned that a lot happens behind the scenes pre- and post-flight. It has helped me understand why the teamwork that we practiced every day in class is important as it is relatable to the way the organisation works. I am more responsible, understanding that every decision has a consequence.”

Lethabo aims to make a difference by being the best hostess she can possibly be.
