Adopt-a-School Foundation continues to erect computer labs and media centres and facilitate the donation of devices to marginalised schools. In May, Adopt-a-School showcased one of its digital projects at Hlahlindlela Secondary School in the rural community of Kwa Ngcolosi in Kwa-Zulu Natal. One hundred and thirty matric learners received tablets to enable them to continue learning and access curriculum content through the year. ICT integration in education improves engagement and knowledge retention. This is because technology provides variety and opportunities to make teaching and learning more enjoyable.
