Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation is pleased to report that four of its nominees for the BRICS Women Innovation Contest won Special Recognition certificates in July. Karina Strijdom of Brain Boosters, Welma Venter of Brainwave Careers, Thuli Phiri of African Storyteller and Tebogo Langa of Oakantswe Construction impressed as South African women-owned and led businesses. Langa is a Black Umbrellas supported entrepreneur, the Foundation’s small business development partner entity, and the Foundation’s other nominees are associates and suppliers.

The BRICS Women Innovation Contest is an initiative of BRICS Women Business Alliance that aims to enhance the role of women in economic growth and promote women’s economic empowerment. The BRICS Women Innovation Contest recognises and shares best business practices or initiatives led by outstanding women entrepreneurs in BRICS countries.
