Adopt-a-School supported learner tops Olympiad

Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation is pleased to report that the top learner of the Free State in the South African National Geography Olympiad (SANGO) was Oratilwe Letsie from Kgabareng Secondary School, a school supported by Adopt-a-School.

Adopt-a-School is a Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation partner entity that implements a holistic Whole School Development model to improve schooling in some of the least resourced and marginalised schools in the country. It addresses the academic, infrastructural, social and security environments in schools.

The SANGO Junior for Grade 8 and 9 was held on 21 September. Nationally, 79 schools participated and 1 533 learners successfully completing the Olympiad.
